We hired Fineline Design for our home renovation project and are very pleased with the results and service we have received from them (Yong Xiang & Lucinia). They are easy to work with, transparent with their processes which they took pains walking us through it so that we understand it. They are also eager to help and willing to come up with solutions when problems occurs. Yong Xiang & Lucinia have also been very patient with us always trying to meet our requirements and wishes, especially when we wanted to amend the design a few times. Their pricing is reasonable and quality of work good. I won’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

After considering a number of IDs through interactions and and going through of their initial proposals, I had eventually selected Fineline as the IDs of my choice for the renovation of my resales 5-Room HDB flat.

My decision was largely due to both the level of comfort throughout the interactions with the IDs and completeness of their proposal. Being a single house owner with a busy workload, I needed a good ID that I can entrust the end-to-end works. Despite not being able to visit regularly, I am very happy with how Fineline had co-ordinated, managed and delivered the renovations to my satisfaction and quality. I noted the effort they have put into the project and even small area of defects that I did not identified were resolved by them promptly.

In addition, Lucinia is meticulous in keeping track of the cost which resulted in Fineline refunding the additional amount to me after she has consolidated all the Variation Orders. I am a satisfied client and happy that I have chosen Fineline, which is a responsible, prompt, professional ID with good integrity

We are first time home buyer and we have searched many ID companies and in the end Fineline Design stood out and we decided on Fineline Design because of the value and the quality of the project that we were shown.

During the design phase, Minyi is responsible and helped to make sure everything is in order. When we found some small defects, Minyi was quick to help us remedy and even for things that we wanted later after renovation has started she also did her best to accommodate us.

After speaking with a few IDs, I decided to go with Raymond Ang from Fineline because I felt he was best able to handle the challenges of renovating our resale flat and also the price he quoted was reasonable. Before our reno could start, there was some difficulty to get the bathroom works approved by HDB, eventually Raymond’s team helped to appeal and discussed with a HDB officer to get it sorted out. It is normal to have a few hiccups during reno and Raymond was quick to make arrangements to rectify them. We were quite particular or persistent about some aspects of our house, Raymond has tried to accommodate them as much as possible and also took time to explain to us why some things cannot be done.

We are satisfied with the carpentry works, especially the shoe cabinet (bottom half cabinet, top half is design). Based on a shoe cabinet photo we found on the internet, Raymond came up with the design that suit our needs. It looks exactly the way we imagined it to be.

The after-handover support has been good as we had requested for some touch-up works to be done, it was quickly arranged and work has been carried out. Our home has turned out to be just the way we want it. Well done.

This is our first time engaging an ID to renovate our house. So we are not sure how it goes. When we first met Minyi, she spoke to us patiently and listen to our ideas for our house. Because of her soft approach we decide to approach her. As this our first time, she guide us through out the renovation process. Although there is some hiccups in between the renovation, she assist us in getting through it smoothly. All… We are loving our Dream House!!!

Deciding on which ID / firm to use is very important when we decided not to DIY when renovating a home; we would want to have someone who can give a good design and workmanship within our budget. With recommendations, when I was going to renovate my new place, I started talking to a few IDs and even visited their showrooms; and finally decided to go with my BIL’s recommendation to go with Fineline’s Raymond Ang for my new home.

Raymond Ang was my ID as well as the project manager for the whole project, providing me with the design for my home as well as co-coordinating with all the contractors working on it. Due to my busy schedule, I am normally available during weekends or at times weekday nights to meet up for discussion on how I wanted my place to be. Raymond was always very accommodating and understanding and always tried his best to fit my busy schedule and whenever we meet and he always come prepared so that little time would be wasted. I remembered we even spent a 9 hour session together on one of the Sundays to run through all the laminates and the configurations of all the cabinets and wardrobes. Though lots of changes were made along the way and many requests made as I wanted my place to be as cozy as possible – and at times certain requests seemed rather absurd, Raymond will patiently explained why certain things can’t be done the way I wanted, either due to functionality or costing.

Other than co-coordinating with the various contractors, Raymond has even go the extra mile to help source for the furniture and fittings that suits my liking and needs; giving me suggestions on what I could get.

Even when the renovation was done and some nitty gritty stuff still needs to touch up, Raymond never disappoints in terms of responsiveness.

Kudos for Raymond and his team for the great teamwork! Definitely no regrets from my end for engaging him in my new home and has even recommended him to my friends who wanted to renovate their place.

We engaged Fineline for the renovation of our unit after meeting up with a few IDs because they provided a reasonable quotation that was within our budget. Xin Ling, our designer, was very friendly and responsive: she updated us regularly on the progress of our renovation and was always available for consultation when we needed her input, even on weekends and holidays.

Our unit was small, leading to many challenges in the layout and design, but Xin Ling eventually came up with a design that solved all these issues. During the renovation, we had several rounds of discussion regarding the colour themes and materials to be used. She would always try to accommodate all our requests, no matter how big or small. Not only that, but she proactively provided her suggestions for improving the functionality as well as the overall aesthetics of our unit. She was also very resourceful and provided many tips for buying furniture and household appliances.

The workmanship was good and even though there were the inevitable hiccups along the way, they were always solved quickly and to our satisfaction. We were very happy with the final look of our house, which we feel we could not have achieved without working with an experienced ID that was genuinely invested in our renovation journey. We engaged Fineline to help with the renovation of our unit after looking around at a few IDs. Our designers, Jayden and Lucinia, were extremely responsive and would update us regularly on the progress – which is something we find extremely crucial in an ID.

We were particular about our budget, and they were very helpful in helping us to keep within our budget without sacrificing design or quality.

When there were hiccups, they informed us promptly and gave us suggestions on how to rectify it.

The renovation process did take longer than expected, but overall it was a very pleasant and good experience working with them, and we would recommend them to others.

We found Fineline through social media and shortlisted them for their designs, and attended one of the events at Caesarstone showroom. Beforehand, we consulted around 5-6 IDs beforehand and visited 3-4 completed projects before deciding on Fineline.

Our designers were Minyi and Jayden. Minyi is very patient, helpful and responsive. Jayden will give suggestions on the feasibility and layout. As I am more particular with the workmanship of their carpentry and painting works, I asked to visit their completed projects and am overall satisfied with their quality. They are also able to provide a two year warranty on their workmanship.

Minyi and Jayden help to give suggestions on the color combinations and we also input based on our preferences. We did quite a few rounds of selections to the flooring, wall tiles and laminates. Minyi is also accommodating and helps us find samples for our requirements. She will meet us after work and on weekends to go through the designs. We also get the flexibility to choose our own vinyl and pole system wardrobe for our master bedroom and these are excluded from our reno costs.

Minyi also does a good job in planning the carpentry layouts including kitchen, shoe/living room display, toilet vanity and wardrobes and allow us to go through a few rounds of changes including routing of water supply for our water dispenser and additional shelvings. We also requested for blum drawers and blum hinges for the whole house with some top up.

Fineline’s quotations are itemised and detailed. We also asked for quite a few optional items which gives us the flexibility to work within our budget.

I guess some of the VOs could be avoided if we have decided earlier whether to overlay two walls of the bathroom or three walls. We repainted the dining area false ceiling white as we initially chose a grey shade from the living room wall which I found to be too dark later. I earlier wanted to have the option of having a dishwasher but decided not to as the kitchen base is already completed and having a dishwasher will reroute the pipings and have additional costs. It would be helpful if fineline can provide a final 3D rendering based on the final selection of laminates, wall colours and flooring to give a better idea of how the house will look like.

After moving in, Fineline also arranged their painter to come up and do several rounds of retouching. I found one area of the bathroom where the water does not flow to the drain and Minyi helps to arrange for tiler to assess and retile as we kept the spare tiles.

All in all, I am happy with the end result and the services rendered by Minyi and Jayden. I would recommend Minyi and Jayden to home owners looking to renovate their new house.

Through a friend’s recommendation, we decided to engage Raymond Ang from Fineline Design and it was the best decision ever made. We requested for a simple, elegant theme within our limited budget and space. Raymond was able to come up with fabulous designs and ideas to meet our high expectations. Our boys had always wanted to inc-operate a grand piano, a reading area, and a cello practice area in the living room. He brilliantly flushed the balcony out into a cello practice area and a personal reading corner overlooking the picturesque greenery. The piano was elegantly tucked in the living area with a cozy sofa at the side, both complementing to the theme. Tiles and paints were skilfully chosen to create a picturesque ambience.

Other than his skilfulness in creating professional outlooks in design, Raymond is also very patient as he never hesitates to help us in doubt, for example, we had endless questions posting towards him, like the colour and design of cabinets, colour of paint used, colour and types of switches used etc. He never failed to answer our queries and last-minute requests. He even aided us with our endless scouting of accessories and furniture. He took the extra mile to ensure items chosen complements our design and theme.

We engaged Fineline Design to renovate our home. Our ID, Zenith really help us on the design for our home. He giving us a lot of suggestion, ideas and recommendation. He also keep us updated on the progress for our house during the renovation. The house looks well organised. The wardrobe has a nice design texture including the other carpentry. Colors matches the concept theme design. We thank designer, Zenith for the reccomendation.

The result is beautiful.

But to get there from the day the work started was quite inconvenient. To be honest, it took way too long.

But, Jayden did try his best and I appreciate it.

He was helpful and reachable at all times.

He did try to overcome some unfortunate circumstance.

But timeline could be improved as it took way too long. I had to bear extra expenses on outside accommodation.

We had went to a few ID before engaging Minyi to help us to renovate our 5 room resale flat. We did not have any idea in mind and just wanted the design to be nice and practical. Throughout the whole process, Minyi was patient and proposed a lot of ideas that was aligned with what we had wanted. Our main concern was the cost and time taken for the renovation which Minyi had done very well. The total cost of the project was within our budget (even though we made many requests halfway) and the renovation was completed on time without hiccups. We were kept updated constantly of the progress of the renovation.

When the house was handed over to us, we were impressed with the workmanship of the built in cupboards and wardrobe. Even after the renovation is completed, she still contacted us to check if everything was alright. This was our first time engaging an ID company and she made this experience memorable for

Encountered Fineline at Paragon (Boconcept event) in 2016. Gave the job to someone else back then but decided to try them out with my new place this year.

William is friendly and workmanship is quite good.

There was damage on the flooring by the contractor when there was supposed to be protection provided. Nevertheless William offered to fix the issue. Not a major issue to me.

Perhaps could propose other ideas/options like concealing power points inside desk in future discussions with clients? This would be a neat option.

Our designer Zen has accommodating our needs fully. There were some problems on timeline and some design through out the process but the team help to solved the issue and back on the right track. They are still also helping out after completion if there any issues moving forward.

We did close to total renovation for the whole house and we are quite happy with our new simple and timeless design house now!

It will not be possible to expect flawless execution when it comes to translating my desired designs into actual work products.

However, Yuge and Serene are pragmatic problem solvers who did not overpromise but delivered results which exceeded my expectations.

Fineline Design was recommended by a friend who worked with 1 of their designers. Steve took over my project and we met up a few times to discuss about feasibility of the design I had in mind and he gave some suggestions. After meeting with a few IDs, I’ve decided to go with Steve as Fineline is transparent on their charges and I’m comfortable with him during our discussions. Steve is responsive to my messages and tries his best to retify when problems arises. 1 area I see room for improvement is being more attentive to details and perhaps taking down notes when communicating on customers needs especially if they related to the design.

I had my place (The Ambrosia) renovated by Mr Roger. I just want to feedback that I am very happy and satisfied with Roger and Xiang Ling’s services. We were introduced to Fineline Design through Qanvast and had decided to engaged their services during our first meet-up. We had high expectations regarding quality and workmanship and both Raymond and Minyi were able to rise to the occasion. At times, there were challenging constraints regarding the design and structure of the fittings but they managed to resolve each issue in a beauty. We had no worries letting both designers do what is necessary to present us with our desired home concept and it took us immediately to have “home feeling” when the renovation was completed. After much sourcing decided to go with Fineline. Steve is patience even though I kept changing my mind. Initially I wasn’t sure whether I could have an island in my odd shaped kitchen as I don’t want to compromise on the space. He kept encouraging me to go for it since I always wanted an island and I’m glad I did. I love how the kitchen turned out and received many compliments. As in any renovation, there is bound to have hiccup and he addresses them till now. Overall happy and satisfy with the end product and how my house turned out.

We engaged Fineline Design after meeting a few other interior design firms introduced by Qanvast. Serene was very friendly and helpful from the very beginning and we got along well, which was one of the main reasons why we decided to engage Fineline. She was always very responsive to our questions and requests. We had a tight deadline to complete our renovation and she assured us that she would be able to complete it within the timeline. The renovation went on smoothly and was completed within the agreed timeline. She also followed up afterwards to ensure everything was fine after we moved in. Needless to say we were happy with the end results. We were very worried at first going through this for the first time, having heard so many horror renovation stories from others but she definitely made our renovation journey a pleasant one.

Aki from Fineline was able to understand the direction and concept my Mrs and I were after. We bought a resale mansionette which we were prepared in overhauling. He won us over with his proposals including space planning, materials, overall concept and design. I like being involved and Aki was very open in collaborating each step of the way. We were kept posted on progress on a daily basis. Alternatives and options were always provided for by Aki for our consideration and I would say that he proved his mettle as we proceeded with a number of his ideas. Changes were also accommodated. Fineline provided their services for all aspects of our house to home transformation. Masonory and flooring, carpentry, electrical, piping, windows, designing, and project management. Aki’s biggest traits are patience and being accommodating. We are currently in the last phases of rectification. Budget 15% overrun. Schedule was overrun due to some challenges in delays of approvals and materials.

The renovation took around 2 -3 months to complete. Designer William was patient, friendly, responsive and meticulous. He did design mockups for us and also accompanied us to shop for kitchen stuff. The whole experience is smooth and hassle-free. The final outcome is very close to the design mock-ups. It was a really pleasant experience. I would like to recommend William and his company Fineline design to other people.

We met Aki at one of the Qanvast hangout event, to find a designer for my mom’s 2-room flat. Of all the designers we spoke to, Aki and his team seemed the most genuine. Pre-renovation and during the renovation process, Aki was always contactable. He checked and followed up on my mom’s requests promptly. The workmanship is of high quality, and the design was well thought out. Although we chose a theme that Fineline is not known for, they have managed to deliver it quite well. The end product surpassed our expectations.

We are glad that, unlike other IDs, Jayden respects our ideas by brainstorming ways to marry our ideas with his design. We are happy with his responsive service, great attitude, patience, and honesty. When working with him, we note he is constantly looking for ways to improve his draft designs shown to us without us asking for revised draft. He would also note how we like certain designs or items at certain places and he would incorporate them in his design of our place for us. You can see his attention to detail and desire to do a good job for you when you look at small details like showcasing gold trim laminate at borders of the door handle of the walk-in cabinet. Overall, he’s a good designer to work with for your dream home.

It was a year ago when we started to search out for designers (yes we are that ONZ..haha) Our first ultimate goal is to find an ID that will be able to cater to what we want and that is within our budget.We came across Fineline Design Pte Ltd from Facebook and we give it a try..Went to the showroom and it was really a nice showroom settings.. Met Jayden and it was easy to communicate with him since his from our era of age, he would understand what we want. Getting straight to the point,he took care of all our needs especially when our key collection is nearing..and when we got our key, Jayden was like a superman getting most of the work done in within 2 weeks before passing on to his colleagues (as he’s going off for reservist). Loving the craftstone and the vinyl flooring which Jayden suggested which suited our industrial cafe theme (our dream house). Handing over to Jun Wei was a smooth transition. Jun wei did help us alot while Jayden was away.Prompt response and always ensuring we are up to date on what’s happening on site. To summarize both did a great job in handling our projects.Especially when there are paintings of touch up needed/ touching up of the crafstone cement and helping us in handling with the gas city issue..It was just a call away or Whatsapp away and they would be able to resolve our concerns. (Even messaging them at night,they would give us a response ??) Most importantly, know what you want and discuss it with your ID,you will for sure have a house of your dream. We got to know Fineline Design through Qanvast. And Qanvast hook us up with ID Jayden. We have gone several appointments with other ID Firms and Contractors but Jayden caught our eyes and attention during our first meet up. He showcase his ideas and plan for our reno works and we find out that his ideas and us are on par. And most importantly, the reno quotation that’s been offer by him meet within our budget. During reno works, Jayden assured us all works will be completed within timeframe. During reno works also, we go for 2 weeks vacation but Jayden took care of the reno for us without any single worry. Serene Chong is amazing. We are experienced build and renovators so quite demanding. Many ups and downs during renovations but key thing is Serene is reliable, committed and actual cares.

My husband and I are very satisfied with the designs/outcome of our home. Especially, the services that Our ID Junwei has provided. I am writing to extend our appreciation to the designers, particularly Jayden, for the job well done. Throughout the renovation period, he has been very professional and patient in all matters from accommodating our opinions, maintaining his control on the design concept and scheduling work force for various tasks. He was very responsive to our requests throughout the project. We moved into our apartment on the 27th of February this year, and are so very happy with everything. Our ID, Bronson Tan (#bronsontan) has been a joy to work with. Unlike most people, we didn’t have the time to supervise the renovation and only saw the finished product when we moved in. It was such a wonderful surprise to see our vision made into a reality by Bronson and his team. Even after we moved in, Fineline have been great at coming back to touch up areas that needed touching up and honouring their contract. I am so thankful that we chose to work with Bronson and Fineline!

We directly contacted Fineline Design through a friend’s recommendation. We decided to engage them as the appointed ID, Raymond is the most sincere and accommodating and we are most comfortable with him. He was able to come up with designs that were beyond our expectations. We find that his advice and the way he handles things are useful and professional. Through the renovations, there were some minor hiccups that surfaced but Raymond was able to quickly rectify them. Although the price is slightly on the high side, it is mainly due to the materials chosen. Overall, we are happy with the renovation.

Fineline Design was one of the IDs recommended by Qanvast. We eventually selected Vincent because we felt the most comfortable with him. We also liked the design he proposed and found that he was very detailed with the breakdown of the quotation. This gave us an assurance of what we will be expecting. Working with Vincent was great because he was responsive, helpful and even went the extra mile to wash up our place on his own before handling it over to us. Although there was a delay in the handling over, overall the renovation is completed to our satisfaction.

After meeting a few IDs recommended by Qanvast, we appointed Raymond from Fineline as we find that is a good, responsible, hands on and dedicated ID. Generally, it was a pleasant experience working with him. He was patient, efficient and was able to come up with suggestions that impressed us. Though our timeline was delayed slightly due to festive celebrations, but Raymond was able to deliver in time for us to move in. Although there were minor hiccups along the way, Raymond was able to rectify them quickly. Something to improve on will be the coordination with the contractors.

I was introduced to Keith from Fineline Design through Qanvast. I chose him as my ID as he was very flexible with the design, budget and time. We were very impressed with the time they took to complete the project as we needed it fast. We were not expecting them to be able to meet the timeline but they did! I did not face problems working with them, we were very pleased with our renovation.

I got to know Fineline Design through Qanvast and I really like the designs that I have seen on their portfolio. I chose Fineline Design to do my renovation because I felt comfortable with their design, cost and their overall establishment. I felt that they are quite organised and their arrangement of having separate people from project and sales department to follow up with me throughout different phase of my renovation. Not only there were no big hiccups, they actually met the proposed timeline which meant a lot to us. Having met the timeline as well as really understanding what we want, ID Roger and Isaac really met our expectations. Despite the job well done, it would have be even better if they have followed up with me more after the project completion.

Fineline Design was one of the IDs recommended to us by a friend working in Qanvast. We eventually selected Raymond as our ID because we felt the most comfortable with and he seems to know what he is doing. He also gave us the confidence to go ahead with him. Overall, Raymond was able to meet our expectations and he is able to rectify all the issues we had with the renovations. An aspect for improvement would be regards the coordination with the contractors and electrician which can better sorted out.

We shortlisted a few IDs but our final choice was Fineline Design as we really liked their projects featured on Qanvast. Our ID, Lee Hao is helpful and was able to suggest creative ideas for our house. Throughout, there was not any hard sell and he would listen to our ideas and provide us with professional advice. The project was completed within the initial agreed timeframe!

Got to know Fineline Design through Qanvast. We decided to go ahead with Fineline design, as the appointed designer Raymond was able to come up with designs that we like, their quotations were pretty reasonable and the chemistry was good. We managed to finish the renovation within the agreed time frame. An aspect for improvement will be with regards to the workmanship, which can be better. Overall, the renovation is smooth.

Generally, it was a pleasant experience working with Fineline Design. There were some issues here and there with the renovation but Chun Peng ensured that it was rectified quickly. The charges were also reasonable and transparent and the whole renovation was completed within the time frame set.

It has been a real pleasure working with Roger and his team at Fineline Design. In fact, we have engaged Fineline Design a couple of times and we have not been disappointed with their services every single time. After seeing their portfolio, I liked their designs and thought that what they could do were in sync with what I was looking for. Fineline Design was readily available so it was easy to reach out to them to discuss about the renovation. As with any renovation, there are bound to be hiccups so it’s near impossible to achieve a 100% problem-free renovation. Nevertheless, all the problems that occurred were easily resolved so there are no complaints about that. Fineline Design did an incredible job at conceptualizing the ideas and we got what we wanted at the end of it. We have to commend them on how efficient they were because they managed to finish the renovation within 1 month’s time as were quite pressed for time to move in into the new place.

My wife and I had contemplated renovating our house for many years, but each time it was put off because of the mess it would create and our lives would be disrupted.

We met 4 or 5 IDs at the start of our reno journey but choosing Jolene was an easy choice.

She was attentive to what we liked and truly had a good design sense. It was scary to see my wife so excited when Jolene seemed to understand her ideas every time.

Throughout the reno journey, Jolene was calm and open to ideas. More importantly, she never made us feel lousy when we had to make changes due to budget constraints.

Jolene and her team delivered in terms of workmanship as well. And on occasions when we spotted quality issues, she never once dismissed them as normal or to be expected. Instead, she always managed to get her team to come back and rectify even the smallest issues.

The reno journey took close to 16 weeks (Dec 21 to end Mar 22) but it was to be expected due to covid and also the scope of work.

Overall, we are glad to have decided on Jolene to renovate our new home. While it was a long journey with expected small hiccups, we are sure that no one else could have done it better.

Fineline was the first interior design company that we approached as a couple when we were initially scouting for IDs. Right from the first meeting, we were sure that we would be going ahead with them and as we guessed even after looking at a few other firms we circled right back to them in the end.

Both Russell and Teri were enthusiastic right from the start in trying to make the vision we had for our house a reality. They took on our project despite knowing that we were working on a very tight schedule and they managed to deliver it even ahead of their projected timeline.

Russell was proactive in providing us with suggestions and workarounds to keep within our budget while still making sure our design was not compromised. He was very invested in our renovation from the first day and that made us feel reassured that our IDs cared about the end product as much as we did.

Teri was earnest in making sure the aesthetic appeal of the house was also maintained despite all the practical considerations. Her eye for design added nice touches to the finished house. Knowing our busy schedules they liaised with many external vendors/contractors on our behalf and provided us with information and quotations to facilitate our decision process. For first-time homeowners like us, it was a boon that we could tap on their experience to ensure all the finer design details and intricacies were taken care of – having grooves/notches to hide wires within carpentry, designing our prayer altar with specific ideas, etc.

Most importantly, we could communicate with them easily and openly to raise concerns/issues or ask for opinions on anything related to the house. They were readily available to answer all our questions and also catered to some last-minute requests/changes. We will readily recommend Russell and Teri to aspiring new homeowners.

My wife and I engaged Fineline Design for the renovation of our 4room BTO after a series of IDs shortlisting. We had a plan in mind during our initial shortlisting phase, while most of the designers will simply agree with our plan, our designer, Chris, was one of the few that prompted us to rethink some of our plans as it was not practical. His professionalism and eagerness to share his viewpoint on what he can do in building our first home. He also shares ideas that are in line with our needs.

The outcome of the design honestly exceeded our expectations, keeping within our budget and most importantly our timeline. The whole renovation process took around 2months to complete, with Chris updating us on the renovation process and whatnot through WhatsApp. The quality of the workmanship is acceptable, with some minor flaws (i.e. roller for wardrobe not smooth). But rectification was done rather quickly.

Overall, the renovation experience was pleasant, and credit goes to Chris, for the fuss-free reno journey!

Russell and Teri were enthusiastic about taking up our renovation project. Communications and planning were great throughout the whole process. We managed to get our place hacked the next day we got our key. This was all thanks to their well-managed schedule. The whole renovation took about 4 months (note that not much work was done during Feb due to CNY). The handover of the house was pretty smooth with the defects being rectified within a good time frame period.

The reasons we have selected them as our ID were due to their enthusiasm, their constant follow-ups, and at the same time keeping the costs within our budget. There were some hiccups throughout the renovation, however, they were quick to rectify. They were always prompt in their responses, which I think was a very important factor in the whole process, as it put our minds at ease to entrust the whole project to them. They don’t shrink responsibilities or give any excuses when hiccups happened, which was also one of the reasons we like about them.

They both also made practical suggestions and improvements to our ideas, yet at the same time staying aligned with our theme. Thanks to their suggestions, we have decided to do away with the usual L shape wardrobe and built 2 wardrobes in our master bedroom which give us ample space for our belongings.

They have also ensured that any changes made were well-kept within the budget and extra costs, if any, were informed upfront so that it didn’t come off as a surprise.

Minyi is a reliable, trustworthy, dependable, efficient Interior designer.

We met up with different IDs in various firms but none can compare with Minyi’s enthusiasm and passion. The chemistry we have when comes to discussion of designs and color schemes, She will always share her professional opinion. We gave her some ideas about what we wanted and within a few days, she came back to us with the draft design sketch. She is more efficient than we are as if she is the owner of the house.

After checking the Fengshui, we do have a targeted date to move in, and also due to the pandemic, a lot of work is expected to be delayed but Minyi makes impossible become possible. We moved in according to our auspicious date.

Definitely, there are some slight hiccups, but Minyi makes frequent visits to our home to oversee the contractor workers doing the work despite her busy schedule.

Minyi also checked with us regularly when we shift in to see if there are any problems with the carpentry which turns out perfectly fine with no defects.

We shortlisted a few ID firms and had chosen Fineline Design as we encountered some good reviews online.

Overall, the renovation journey was pretty smooth. Great teamwork between my ID and the contractors to deliver what is required. Given that our ID is considered relatively new in the industry, his willingness to learn, explore and suggest design components is extremely commendable. There were times that he has gone above and beyond to deliver more than we had asked for.

However, as with all renovations, there were some unforeseen circumstances that were beyond anyone’s control. I am glad our ID remained professional in those situations and was able to provide alternate recommendations that suited our design goals.

My family and I were looking for a reliable ID who is able to deliver with minimal supervision during the Covid period as my wife was pregnant. I was then introduced to Russell by my friend. I have to say I was very satisfied as our place was renovated to our satisfaction without any fuss and our monitoring.

Russell was very friendly and was very helpful with ideas and solutions, even if it was outside of his job scope. My family and I did not really have a concept for our place but he was able to help us conceptualize and design. After his recommendation, even when we felt that we wanted something more, he was able to add to the design. He was not pushy and was able to adhere to our budget.

I’ve moved into my new place for about a month now and like all newly renovated projects, there will always be minor flaws and rectification to be done. And my IDs Fevian and Teri, are still helping me resolve these issues even though full payment has already been made.

To begin, Fineline Design wasn’t my first choice of IDs. Like all new homeowners, I sourced close to 8-10 companies who were all professional and provided the relevant quotes. It was the WIFE’s choice to go with Fineline Design and I’m glad her instincts were right =D.

As we are 1st-time homeowners, there were a lot of decisions that we had to make that we were clueless about. We engaged Fineline Design after meeting 4 ID firms recommended by Qanvast. We started out with our own mood boards and ideas, and designer Fevien was able to come up with a design that best incorporated all the different elements, as well as included some of her own design flairs. Her first draft was already able to quite accurately capture the overall vibe that we wanted, and we were also quite impressed with her portfolio. She was also able to give us a detailed breakdown of all the costs early on in our negotiations and was able to offer suggestions to help us not exceed the budget by too much.

As we are first-time homeowners, we really appreciated Fevien’s expertise and experience when it came to the many little decisions that needed to be made, from design ideas to placement of furniture. During the reno process, we also had another team member from Fineline, Amirah, join in. Both of them were extremely on the ball throughout the whole process, consistently supervising all the contractors and troubleshooting whenever an issue cropped up. Whenever they presented a problem, they would also present us with proposed solutions and advice. They were so reliable that we did not need to drop in too often!

Towards the end of the reno process, Fevien’s eye for detail was greatly appreciated. Given that I purchased an old house, the renovation went quite unexpectedly smoothly. Chris understands the design that I like and is able to propose relevant ideas that work with my theme. It’s a plus point that he can bring me around to purchase household accessories and it saves us a lot of time sourcing ourselves. There were some lippage problems with my floor tiles and Chris managed to reduce the damage to the best of his ability. Chris is patient and his working attitude is good, I must say it is a pleasant experience working with him.

Despite tough times during the pandemic, Minyi managed to find the best solutions to suit our budget and helped us build our home beautifully.

We decided to engage an interior designer for the first time for our 5-room HDB resale flat and met up with a few IDs I found on Qanvast. Fineline was one of our choices because it is reputable and has a very good track record.

At our first meeting with Russell and Teri, they both showed genuine enthusiasm and interest in the project and impressed us with their energy. They came up with great ideas and recommendations, which gave us the confidence to engage them. Throughout the renovation process, Russell kept us updated on our group chat and was flexible on the occasions when we wanted something to be changed or added. It was particularly helpful when they brought us to select our tiles, lights, and accessories for our home and made suggestions to keep the cost within our budget. Met our ID Jolene at a Qanvast fair. Our reno journey with her was smooth, taking into account expected timelines due to COVID restrictions. She was on hand to provide advice and suggestions, communicate beyond office hours to address our queries, and provide alternatives and solutions to the design goals that we had.

Fineline’s workmen were thorough – I observed their attention to detail, even on mundane jobs like painting. We appreciate the extra effort put into tile arrangement for the best aesthetic impact, as well as follow-ups after handover to address minor rectifications.

I highly recommend Jayden as he is really good at his job. We are extremely pleased throughout our engagement with him.

Both my husband and I are someone who doesn’t budge when we have a certain style or design we have in mind, but he will always come up with a solution and feasible proposal to make things happen for us even if it’s a seemingly difficult task.

Our ID, Jeremy, was fantastic from start to end. He was extremely proactive, providing great design suggestions and allowing us to build our dream home. His attention to detail and professionalism was outstanding.

As with every ID journey, there were some hiccups along the way. There was an item miscalculated and only brought up at the very end of the project. But it was handled very professionally by him. Fineline is probably not on the cheaper side of options available in the market, but Jeremy’s quality service as an ID made the process significantly hassle-free (especially with the amount of work we did for our resale flat).

For Fineline’s services, the most outstanding service in my opinion was their carpentry (they have an in-house carpentry team). Their ability to deliver on time while not compromising on quality (in general), allowed us to move in within 4 months with no hiccups – as per our original renovation timeline. One area for improvement was the quality of the paint job (but seems like this is a common issue amongst all IDs from speaking with friends.

Overall experience in a nutshell: Definitely above our budget, but we got our dream home with a smooth journey. As of now, I have already recommended Jeremy to 4 of my friends.

Fevien is one of the many IDs that we met during our selection stage. She stood out as someone who gives practical designs and pieces of advice.

With a tight timeline of just 12 weeks, we did an extensive renovation for our resale EA unit. The progress of the renovation is updated every one or two weeks and any problem is highlighted to us early. Though there are many rectifications after the move-in, we are happy that we can move in on the chosen auspicious date. Any rectifications are done swiftly and overall, we are satisfied with the outcome of our renovation.

I met Minyi at a Qanvast meetup session. Out of all the IDs there she was the most experienced and was able to showcase the various ongoing/previous projects she had worked on. As it was an old condo requiring extensive hacking, we felt it would be better to go with an experienced ID as it would reduce the time to complete.

Understandably it was during COVID lockdowns and there were probably a lot of delayed projects she has to handle. We had a lot of non-standard options requests, from roof tiling, customized toilet cabinetry for my cat’s toilet, awning requests, Fengshui features and installation of zip track, smart home features, and thermal aircon. The intention was to achieve a minimal eco-friendly home that would be low maintenance and budget-friendly.

Minyi and Simin were accommodating to all the various requests. They were very helpful with various changes during the entire process and also helped with some items outside of the renovation which included unexpected plumbing issues and waterproofing problems.

Overall, given the various challenges, it was a good renovation job for the budget and only slightly delayed by a week or so.

Some possible improvements would be for the company as a whole to provide options to offer/connect with green/energy/premium quality suppliers.

We looked for IDs through Qanvast and arranged for a few visits with several IDs. Our requirements were simple – someone who can come up with an innovative solution to help us with the slanted wall in the living room, and fall within our budget of $60k, not including furnishing. Our resale was a 20+ year flat, so we were also weary about needing to do huge overhauls due to wear and tear and electrical wiring changes. We gave all the shortlisted IDs a simple deck of slides, with our selected colors and mood board, our desired outcome of the house, and what we hoped to achieve in our new home. Another silly consideration was that the ID firm had to be near all the electrical/sanitary shops (i.e. Balestier, Toh Guan), and best if it is near our house at Bukit Batok. So, we short-listed IDs near Trade hub 21.

Addy came well-prepared, showing us ideas from the very first meet-up on Zoom (covid period). He suggested a turn-around TV carpentry installation, where the current owner’s sofa was. This would allow us to minimize having to look at the slanted wall, and an attempt is made to ‘straighten’ the slanted wall using built-in carpentry. Armed with his iPad, he expertly took notes on our digital floor plan, hearing about our lifestyle needs and referencing the color themes we selected. We were very hesitant about his proposal, as we were concerned that the TV wires would be tangled, but he assured us that he had done it before, and showed photos as proof of his work.

Fineline was also CASE accredited, Qanvast Supertrust, HomeReno Guru Top 10, etc. That made us feel safe that our project wouldn’t be under a dubious company, after hearing about all the bad reviews out there about IDs that run away with the money. Also, Fineline’s warranty is 24 months, which is longer than the other IDs that we searched for. So far, we have activated some help – shall see if the defects will be rectified accordingly. (Side note – We would have hoped to pay by FAVE or credit card, but they were unable to do so… something which Fineline could work on).

A bonus was that Simin was attached to our project, which meant we got an extra pair of eyes and hands to help us with material picking, sample collection, color selection, etc. She was ever so helpful, sending us the samples we asked for and even suggesting the tabletop finishing for our kitchen island and kitchen countertop.

My wife and I were worried that the disruption of the supply chain due to covid would affect the shipment of tiles and materials, but Addy assured us that the timeline was comfortable and he would do his best to rush the work and hand the house over to us before hungry ghost festival. He was a bit slow in his replies sometimes due to his busy schedule, but never dropped the ball and always replied to us in due time.

No reno comes without hiccups – the hacker wrongly removed the toilet window (to the service yard), and was irresponsible, failing to cover drainage holes well, leading to loose rocks from the hacking choking the pipes. Addy readily took responsibility and got workers to fix these issues. When he realized that he was unable to produce a shower rack for our toilets using the remaining tiles, he volunteered to purchase a shower rack off the shelf and install it for us FOC.

An area of improvement could have been the fixing of the aircon trunking – we could have been informed a little earlier of when the aircon man should do the trunking before other works commenced, which would have made the whole process a lot smoother. What impressed my wife and I was how dedicated Addy was. Despite being out of action for 1.5-2 weeks due to a Covid infection, Addy made sure work continued and tried his best to meet our timeline.

All in all, we felt that we were blessed to have IDs that were innovative, sticking to our desired budget, and most importantly honest, in their dealings with us. A bonus was that we could go to Fineline at Toh Guan for our discussions, which was just a few bus stops away from our temporary home. We could also go to Fineline at Balestier if we needed to see lighting shops with our ID.

From start to finish, my wife and I have been thoroughly impressed by Jeremy’s professionalism. We met Jeremy at one of those Qanvast-organised events where you could meet IDs and get initial pitches or have a discussion about what you’d want from a renovation.

We ultimately went with Jeremy because we were very impressed with his attention to detail and thought process, as well as how systematic he was in the discussion.

He was not afraid to tell us if something that my wife and I wanted or were leaning towards was not feasible or unreasonable given the budget, something that I would argue is absolutely important in an ID, as that would cut down the chances of misunderstandings in the future.

Budgetary concerns were handled promptly and expediently, and any requested changes were handled with aplomb.

Communication with Jeremy is painless, although there might be some lag between getting answers to your questions. However, that is perfectly understandable given that most IDs have multiple projects that they work on simultaneously.

As I handled most of the communications between Jeremy, Fineline, my wife, and I, I got to know Jeremy relatively well, and I am proud to say that I consider Jeremy a friend.

We met Russell at one of the Qanvast events and he came across as being very sincere, proactive, and professional. He understood our design brief and was able to translate it into practical designs that meet our budget. One of the key deciding factors was the fact that he was very clear in articulating his opinions even though it may run counter to what we had in mind. This exchange of ideas and opinions is really the key ingredient that went into reinforcing the final design of our home.

As our project took a while before it TOP, the tempo in terms of design updates and selection of materials slowed down. However, I must say the moment we informed Russell that our project was going to TOP, everything ran like clockwork i.e. On-site measurements, detailed discussions on the carpentry works, incorporating final requirements like the lights, curtain, selection of wallpaper, sofa, etc.

The 2 exceptional points were the management of the project schedule and attention to detail for the carpentry works.

We had a tight timeline to meet as we needed to shift in before our lease expires. Russell understood this and planned for parallel works to commence so that by the time our defects were cleared, the renovation starts immediately.

The carpentry team that Russell worked with was very experienced and had an excellent eye for detail. We were pleasantly surprised with the thoughts that had been put in. While there were minor issues that were resolved promptly, we were still very impressed.

Even after we had shifted in, Russell arranged for minor touch-up works to be done at our request.

In terms of improvements, I would have liked for the lights to be installed a bit better. The installers might have not been experienced enough with the specific lights that we had bought and thus took a few rectifications works. It was a source of minor irritation and inconvenience. I might have preferred updates to be more periodic but that might be just me.

Overall experience was a good one. I must admit it was not entirely smooth sailing but a hands-on approach and having ownership of your own project are absolutely vital. Finding the correct ID that gives you the right inputs, experienced enough to highlight potential pitfalls, have an excellent carpentry team behind him are indeed important. I must say these are some of the attributes that I have found in Russell.

We had a positive experience with Min Yi who had the tough task of helping us with our renovation during COVID and the CNY period.

There were numerous sessions between us and Min Yi, and through these sessions, we were able to turn what we have in our heads into something real that we can see.

Min Yi was extremely professional in helping us realize our ideas as much as possible and at the same time, providing us with sound alternatives as and when required without compromising our expectations for our house. Her technical knowledge and her creativity have helped us find the best solutions for any problems we encounter along the way.

Min Yi has provided us with timely updates during the renovation process and answers our queries promptly.

Overall a professional and knowledgeable designer who is also accommodating to her clients. We are thankful for her hard work and satisfied with the excellent results as we do truly love how our house turns out.

We met Teri at a Qanvast ID fair and had subsequently gone for second meetings with a few ID firms including Fineline. Out of all the IDs, we felt Russell and Teri had the most enthusiasm and energy. They listened carefully to our requests, and we really like their suggestions as it often combines both aesthetics and practicality.

There were no big issues on the renovation schedule, and major milestones were always on track. Cost-wise, we were provided clear itemized quotations prior to starting work, so it is easy for us to tell exactly what we are paying for. Russell and Teri also paid close attention to the budget and will let us know when any changes may result in a huge cost increase. On workmanship, the quality of their carpentry is good and feels premium. We also liked that the workers they have engaged are professional, not only in getting the job done but also leaving the renovation site in a clean condition.

We did have a few hiccups, and these were resolved by Russell and Teri promptly. Overall, we will recommend their services and will likely engage them again in the future.

TLDR: 10/10 would recommend working with Russell & Teri. They were easy to work with, respected our requests while also providing their professional advice, and completed the project on time.

We met Russell at the Qanvast “speed dating” event in Nov 2021. Out of all the IDs we met, Russell struck us as the most sincere and capable. Of course, this is based on a first impression, but we went with our gut.

Later during the process, Teri also came on board to assist Russell with the project. By the end of the process, we found Russell and Teri to have all the qualities mentioned above, and we’re glad we went with our gut.

Our renovation started end-Dec 2021 and completed end-Apr 2022. The project stayed within our original budget, not including the Variation Orders based on the changes and new materials we requested mid-way through the project (for example, upgraded our backsplash to quartz).

We’re also glad the project was done on time, considering that the project period included CNY and the borders with Malaysia re-opening (Feb & March 2022).

As with any project (whether in interior design or in the corporate world), there will be hiccups. These cannot be avoided. At those moments, a need-to-have is clear communication between the project manager and the client. A nice-to-have is a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to resolve the hiccups. We found that Russell & Teri demonstrated both of the above.

8 months on, we are very happy with our home. We haven’t needed to use the Warranty for anything broken. We’ve received compliments from friends & family that the home is both comfortable and reflects our personality.

We are very satisfied and happy with our flat’s renovation work completed by Fineline. Fineline provides professional and exceptional work that is value for money. Overall, it was a very pleasant and positive experience to work with Fineline and of course, our interior designer Marshall. Marshall was, and still is, a very talented, friendly, helpful, practical, detail-orientated, and hands-on interior designer. He took good care of our renovation and left us with nothing to worry about.

Initial Planning Stage

I think Marshall was able to do the following within a short period of time:

capture our needs, wants and the concept we were going for; and accordingly, eliminated some of our fanciful ideas that were not feasible and come up with a plan that was not only feasible but could also accommodate our needs, wants, and the concept we were going.

Marshall actively communicated with us throughout the initial planning stage. With all the above in mind, Marshall was able to secure/confirm the final design plan swiftly to allow the next stages to take place.

Renovation material procurement

Marshall gave us a lot of practical and constructive ideas while we were selecting materials for our renovation. We appreciate his helpfulness a lot, particularly his accompany on a couple of occasions when we visited the stores.

Construction stage

Starting from the beginning, Marshall was very careful and diligent in the sense that he endeavored to protect the structure of our flat.

Regarding the construction, it was very well handled by Marshall in the sense that:

he had liaised with the teams which enabled different teams (i.e. construction team, delivery team) to work in an organized manner; the construction was well managed which was reflected by the fact that not only were there no complaints received from our neighbors throughout the course of our renovation but also that the renovation work was on schedule and was finished on time; we had been regularly updated by Marshall regarding the progress of the renovation, including issues that arose in the course of construction, which (updates) : (i) gave Marshall and us a basis to discuss and come up with a practical plan to rectify/improve the construction difficulties and (ii) enabled us to change our mind and make last minute changes/adjustments; the renovation budget was carefully implemented which did not require any variation; and the design/renovation plan was never varied by Marshall (and only by us).

We are delighted to spend our time in this beautiful, stylish, and cozy flat that was completed by Fineline and Marshall, as it marks a new chapter in our life. The renovated flat is truly something on a different level.

First, Teri. Such a young and beautiful talented designer, so organized and professional. Then the contractors, especially the tiler, carpenter, and plumber are so professional and good at their work. Fast, reliable, and swift. I have no words except praise. First and foremost, we would like to take this review as an opportunity to thank Fineline for assigning Marshall Lum as our appointed Interior Designer. We were surprised and delighted to have an ID of great talents and knowledge.

Marshall’s vast amount of experience (23 years and counting), skill sets, and specialty that he has played a key crucial role in my HDB EA project. Marshall was able to visualize the design in his mind the moment we pitched our design concept theme to him.

Marshall was patient to understand our lifestyles and proposed to us ideas/suggestions which were realistically practical. Marshall takes ownership of his projects and is very meticulous in his work. Marshall always discusses with us and seeks our approval before ordering any materials.

Marshall was so accommodating to our last-minute requests/changes, especially late at night and even during weekends, that at times we feel bad. Nevertheless, Marshall never fails to deliver his promises and never compromises on workmanship and service.

Marshall has a good team of experts in every field of renovation aspect who knows what’s needed to get the job done, which gave us a sense of assurance, especially when we were away for our family holiday. Marshall walkthrough with us every step of the renovation process which made it seamlessly easy for us to be aware of what’s the job schedule are.

Seeing our design concept theme coming alive one step at a time, gave us a sense of an exhilarating feeling. I would like to thank Marshall and the Team once again to bring out our design concept theme into reality and making it a home to call our own.

Jolene understood clearly the vision we had for our home. She built on the ideas and provided even better suggestions/solutions that we had never thought of. Our home turned out to be functional and aesthetically pleasing. Jolene provided timely updates and ensured that we knew what was going on. When problems arises, Jolene was prompt in resolving them so that the reno could go on as planned. 100% would definitely recommend her!

From the inception and brainstorming of ideas till the execution and delivery of the project, Russell and Kristy have been on top of every single piece of activity, they are the key reason for lifting off huge stress from a typical Reno project.

Both of them have a very good sense of design and practicality and had taken into consideration details such as lights, color, and curtains, which led to a revamp that is top class, with a good blend between functionality and aesthetic

We started our reno journey by using a reno platform’s tool to narrow down our ID selection. We met with all 5, and an additional 2, firms and finally narrowed it down to Fineline.

Russell and Teri were very pleasant to work with. They understood our vision from the start and were able to provide valuable inputs and expertise to the design of the house by pointing out various factors for consideration during the decision-making process.

Both were prompt in their replies and solutions when inevitable reno issues arose.

Very happy to be able to move in within the stipulated timeline of 3 months, which includes 1 round of rectification!

We chose to work with Russell because of his eagerness to deliver new ideas and listen. He is not pushy and will try his best to churn things to our liking, making it better. Like any other home renovation, the journey isn’t always smooth. It was a bumpy road in the beginning, but we managed to collaborate better and transformed the place into how we visioned it to be. Good job, Russell and team!

My partner and I were renovating our first apartment, a small two-storey penthouse with some specific ideas about the layout of the bar and outdoor patio. My previous ID had abruptly quit at the conceptualization stage without giving us any notice, and without handing us over to anyone else. I found Jeremy through a recommendation from a mutual friend who was extremely satisfied with his project.

On short notice, Jeremy patiently and informatively walked us through the steps required to get this done and proposed a shorter timeline than I had initially expected. He helped us refine our design ideas for renovations and furnishing and even managed to source quality products at a lower cost with an eye to our under-estimated budget.

Throughout the renovation, Jeremy also went above and beyond to provide suggestions on furnishing, managed contractors, and made sure the required follow-up works (e.g. painting over spots, installation hiccups) post-inspection were carried out promptly. The only area for improvement I would suggest is to maintain a very keen eye for the inevitable painting imperfections that occur, before the homeowner’s inspection.

Overall, I am satisfied with Jeremy and Fineline’s service and would recommend it to my friends. I would note that the workmanship of the internal contractors is decent but the carpentry is quite limited in its ability to customize furniture and shelving if you have specific requests that extend beyond the typical straight-line boxy look.

We are a mother-and-son duo with a 1-bedroom unit to renovate. Jeremy Choo is a very patient ID. He somehow managed to help us find common ground, despite our inter-generational differences in views on aesthetics, practicality, and budget. To add, he was very responsive and diligent in correcting the minor defects and flaws that we had spotted. Moreover, when we contacted him about our lighting issues 4 months after the handover, he responded quickly and liaised with the lighting vendors to resolve the issues. We truly appreciate his dedication to this project.

We had three main objectives in our modern luxe design built around the pre-existing dark granite floor.

Since we had no storeroom, our first objective was to build storage space. This was incorporated into our new TV feature wall. Jeremy proposed to use fluted panels for the doors. Although this option cost more than he had initially predicted, we were very impressed by the results. For a few grand in top-ups, it made our place look like it was worth way more than the top-up cost!

Our second objective was to redo the whole kitchen, which featured aging carpentry and dated tiles from the 90s. We also wanted to switch from gas to induction and transform the space into a semi-open kitchen. We are especially pleased with Jeremy’s recommendations on how to conceal the power points and switches using the carpentry. His solution was neat and practical. We are also grateful for how he put in extra space for us to upgrade our fridge in the future. That extra space was easily filled with wine bottles.

Our final objective was to fabricate a shoe cabinet with a prayer niche. He shared that it was his first time working on a Catholic or Christian prayer space, but he understood the brief perfectly. We also realized after moving in that he had lined up one pair of downlights perfectly to aim straight into the prayer niche. And all the other downlights in the living room were aligned to that pair. This demonstrates Jeremy’s attention to detail.

Overall, Jeremy was very patient in walking us through our options and repeating the basics when they slipped our minds. Although he may not be the most punctual for appointments, he gets the job done well and follows up diligently. He also has the ability to nudge us towards tasteful design decisions that we would later appreciate. Finally, we are pleased with the workmanship of Fineline’s in-house carpentry team. Kudos to all!

Last year, I had a nightmare experience with a renovation company in Singapore that made me question if I had accidentally hired a group of toddlers instead of professionals. Their work was so bad that I swear it looked like a bunch of monkeys had gotten loose in my house.

But my luck turned around when I attended a meet-and-greet event for designers hosted by Qanvast. That’s where I met Melvin Pung from Fineline Design, and let me tell you, he was a godsend. My design idea was to make a three-room flat look as minimalistic as possible. But for those who know, the minimalistic look requires a lot more effort and design know-how to make it look minimalistic and effortless. However, Melvin listened to me, he understood my vision, and most importantly, he didn’t treat my ideas like they were crazier than a pineapple on a pizza.

Instead, he made my dreams come true and then some. He even added his own touch of genius to the project, which made it even better than I could have imagined. Not only that, but Marshall, the other half of the Fineline Design duo, made sure that everything was running smoothly and on schedule. Honestly, these guys are like the Batman and Robin of renovation – they swoop in and save the day with their impeccable workmanship and professionalism.

So now, I’m working with Fineline Design on my next project, which involves a living green wall and shoe cabinets. And let me tell you, I’m more excited about this than a kid in a candy store. I know that with Marshall and Melvin on the job, everything will turn out perfectly. Plus, they’re so good that they even managed to include some extra work I requested, which just goes to show that they’re willing to go above and beyond for their clients. I mean, who needs a genie in a bottle when you’ve got Fineline Design?

We decided to engage with Annabel from Fineline Design for our renovation project after we attend a Qvanst event. She impressed us with her perfect follow-up and sincere attitude. The whole journey went through smoothly in general. We did not visit our house very frequently, but every week we would receive an update from Annabel through WhatsApp with all the work that had been done. One thing I appreciate is that she replied to our message fast even though sometimes I did not expect her to reply immediately. That built our trust along the way to make us feel safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend Annabel for renovation projects as she took the time to understand our request and tried to make it happen. She also helped us to coordinate with some outsourced contractors for some work not covered in the contract. I’m quite happy with how our house looks in the end. 😆

We chose to go with Chris and Annabel at Fineline Design because of friend referrals, good rapport, and a sense of assurance that the project will be well managed with minimal input from us and that the workmanship will be of a high standard and quality.

Chris brings with him a wealth of experience to accommodate our requests as much as feasible, yet able to advise against ideas that we would have later regretted if he followed everything we asked for. He is able to propose good solutions on the ground when met with constraints in the actual site layout.

Annabel is very approachable and highly responsive to any questions or issues we bring up, be it during or even post-renovation. She’s able to communicate with the contractors on ad-hoc requests and is very resourceful in sourcing items that fit well with the overall design theme.

The firm prioritizes safety in all aspects of the design, so we have ensured everything in the house will work well within safe limits.

Though a little more pricey, the cost is well worth the peace of mind and trust that the team is able to make into reality the home we like to live in. We’re very satisfied with how our home came to be.

It was our 1st renovation experience with an ID and we were excited to transform our newly purchased 5-room Hdb flat into our dream home. With our family of 5 and a furry little cat, we had to make sure we chose the right one. After running through and meeting up with several IDs we decided to choose Russell and Elaine from Fineline Design. Russell has a good listening ear and works towards what we want and needs as we shared our ideas and individual needs through the early stage. An eager individual also helps us in deciding what would be more practical or do we prefer the aesthetics of the ideas we had and their costings. Which we thought was his strength. His experience and knowledge guided us well into the decisions we made. Elaine’s fresh ideas and understanding of our mood board was one that we knew that we had put good trust in this duo team to build our dream home.

As with all projects, little hiccups were bound to happen. There were a few changes to our vision and needs, also small hiccups on our aircon installation services which we had engaged. But Russell ensured the project went well and delivered our unit on time even with quite a tight schedule (Oct/Nov 2022-before cny 2023). I must mention that I was very impressed that he even worked his way out of the planned schedule to help us save some costs from us putting our current house items in a storage warehouse.

The in-house team of contractors was a professional and prompt bunch that worked hard to achieve the dateline not leaving out quality finishes.

Handing over and inspection was a breeze. Russell made sure any unsatisfactory requests from us were rectified almost immediately.

Budget-wise, we did go slightly over our initial budget but that’s mainly due to the changes that me and the wife wanted to add on along the way.

Overall, Job well done and a Very big thank you to Russell and Elaine for transforming this project into our dream home. Turning ideas into reality.

We engaged Fineline Design towards the end of 2021 and appointed Minyi as our Interior Designer. Over the course of half a year or so, she had done her utmost best to work within our budgets to renovate our home.

The designs are clean and uncluttered with attention being paid to functional use. Throughout the process, there will no doubt be concerns and disagreements like all things in life, but Minyi had been professional to our requirements.

It’s been 1/2 a year since moving back home, and we are pleased with the result of this renovation process.

We did our home with Russell and Teri from Fineline Design and had a great experience with them overall. As it’s our first time owning a home, we were unsure of what we wanted/needed, and both of them offered great advice, especially in terms of carpentry requirements and aesthetic suggestions. They also offered solutions when we had to make changes due to Feng Shui readings and were always happy to help us make our home what we wanted.

Fineline Design also uses their in-house carpenters, and while the reno process may be slightly longer, we were very satisfied with the quality of the carpentry and work done.

As with every reno process, there would be hiccups, but Russell and Teri managed to handle them efficiently. Overall a pleasant experience for our first home. Recommend engaging and choosing both of them for a fuss-free reno!

This is our 2nd house, and we started engaging with IDs way before we got our keys. Eventually, we chose Fineline and were assigned to Teri. Teri was attentive during our meetings, and we seldom need to repeat or describe too much, and she caught on to what we wanted. During the renovation, she will give progressive updates and follow up on outstanding matters. There’s never a perfect journey in any renovation but being responsible, responsive, and having a good attitude are of utmost importance. Teri and Fineline had met our expectations, and we are happy with our new home, thanks to them.
